Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Votenir is a real-time agile retrospective and sprint estimation tool. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the service.
1. Who we are
Votenir ("Votenir", "we", "us") operates this service. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support-votenir@adiralglobal.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) supplies your name, email address, profile image, and the login method you chose (e.g. Google, GitHub, or Microsoft).
- Content you create. Boards, retrospective cards, comments, votes, action items, and estimation sessions you add while using the service.
- Invitations. Email addresses you enter to invite teammates to a board.
- Technical data. Basic session and log data (such as request timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use your information
- To create and authenticate your account and keep you signed in.
- To provide the core features — retrospectives, estimation sessions, and real-time synchronisation across your team.
- To send transactional emails, such as board invitations.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Votenir:
- Clerk — user authentication and account management.
- Supabase / PostgreSQL — database storage for your boards and content.
- Hetzner — server hosting (European data centre).
- Zoho Mail — delivery of transactional invitation emails.
These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.
5. Cookies
Votenir uses essential cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you securely signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and the content you created, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support-votenir@adiralglobal.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored with reputable infrastructure providers. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Children
Votenir is intended for use by professionals and is not directed at children under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
